Abstract Plastics such as polyethene bags, bottles, and so on are growing increasingly common science progresses. The disposal of discarded material is a significant issue because most plastic wastes non-biodegradable unsuitable for combustion due to the emission hazardous gases. By just using controlled compaction, soil stabilization enhances engineering capabilities weak sub-soils or addition stabilizing agents cement, lime, fly ash, bitumen, tar etc. But these additions have also been quite costly in recent years. This research report gives thorough examination performance effectiveness waste bottle strips improvement. made Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). size PET used this study not more than 5 mm length 2 width. These were treated with Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) perform proper dispersion fibres soil. Although sodium hydroxide noncombustible solution, it highly reactive substance. It interacts exhibit changes its properties. work comprises replacement by NaOH varying percentage 0.75%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 3% 4% dry weight sample find out optimum mix strips. strength geotechnical property mixed was evaluated compared non-treated mix. result shows benefit adding over improving maximum density (MDD), unconfined compressive (UCS) California bearing ratio (CBR) value appreciably at an 1.5%. approach may be utilized efficiently fulfil social environmental problems. exploratory inquiry would lead ecologically friendly management material.
